Background:	MYA2 is a member of the type XI myosin protein family that binds F-actin and co-localizes with actin filaments and peroxisomes. This protein interacts with RabC2a and RabD1 in a GTP-dependent manner. It is also involved in root hair growth and organelle trafficking.
